New York Commercial Producer Starts Film Slate

Bruce Lucas, a commercial producer and short film director (“A Walk in the Dark”), has begun a slate of five films after optioning two screenplays from the writing team of Marie D. Jones and Larry Flaxman. “19hz,” a low budget horror thriller, and “Twilight Child,” a big budget sci-fi adventure, are the first for Lucas’ slate, to be followed with two spin-off projects from “Child,” and the story of the life, rise and fall of a great, but currently unnamed, sports figure. Lucas will be directing and producing all five films. The financing for the first film, “19hz,” is being finalized, with options in place for the rest of the slate.
